Many of the most incredible antique stores are merely a short drive away from the Harborage Inn in Boothbay Harbor, Maine.  One in particular that is a must see is Indian Trail Antiques .  Located in Newcastle, Maine which is a mere 20 minutes from Boothbay Harbor and a 5 minute drive from beautiful Damariscotta, Maine, this antique store offers 15,000 sq ft on 4 floors of the most incredible antiques.  They offer 18th, 19th and 20th century antiques as well as military, nautical items and so much more!  It is a must see for the antique enthusiast!

Foster’s Auctions in Newcastle, Maine offers regular auctions with really unique antique findings.  You can research when their next auctions will be and plan accordingly.  People really enjoy these auctions and come from all over to attend.

Nobleborough Antique Exchange is also just a short drive away located in Nobleborough, Maine where a variety of treasures can be found!


The 1839 House in Midcoast, Maine is also a great stop when traveling in Midcoast, Maine.  A beautiful 1839 historic barn is filled with beautiful findings.


Damarine Antiques is located in Damariscotta, Maine.  Damariscotta is the most beautiful town located on the ocean in Midcoast, Maine.  There are so many fabulous restuarants, sites as well as shopping galore.  Stop in Damarine Antiques on your way down to beautiful Pemaquid Point or Pemaquid Beach.  You will be so glad you did.


Wiscasset, Maine is also known for its incredible antique stores.  Wiscasset offers beautiful views of the harbor while you can explore and shop.  We highly recommend stopping too for an infamous Red’s Eat lobster roll on your way! as well as the fabulous Treat’s for the most glorious pastries, breads, cheeses and wines.  While your there, you will not want to miss In the Clover which honestly has the most wonderful gifts.  Once you’ve taken in the sites and the must stops in Wiscasset, it’s time to get antiqueing!  Patricia Staulbles has incredibly elegant high end antiques right on the Main Street.  Wiscasset Village Antiques offers over 16,000 sq ft offering over 100 dealers.  There is so much to do and see!


Once you’ve enjoyed all that Wiscasset has to offer, drive a bit further to Woolwich, Maine to enjoy the Montsweag Flea Market .  Wednesday is focused solely on antiques and Saturday and Sundays are mixed merchandise.  This seasonally runs May through October and you will know you’ve found it because the crowd of people and cars are a sight to see!  It has grown to be one of Maine’s largest outdoor flea markets and is worth the drive if you enjoy this sort of thing.


If you enjoy history and original antique findings continue a bit further to beautiful Bath, Maine.  There you will want to visit the Maritime Museum .  Steeped in the rich Maine boating history, this is a museum you will not want to miss.  There are so many original historic artifacts and in season they even offer boat excursions.  This is a must do when coming to Maine.
